The luxury arm of AG Wheels ( Avant Garde ) have released yet another new wheel design, THE AGL34 and this time around it's been released in 1 piece Monoblock, which they have done from time to time this year, and we can see it's going to be a popular design, especially in the SUV , and Luxury vehicle market.

We love a six spoke wheel design at VAD, we have our own design that has done exceeding well over the last 18 months, and the AGL34 design is going to be a wheel in demand.

The first vehicle to test ride the design is the mighty new Range Rover Sport, and the finish shows the design off perfectly, the size fitted here is 10.5x22 front and rear and really shows the concave profile of the monoblock, the Monoblock is becoming a very popular forged choice in today’s wheel market as it has so many plus benefits, super strong, and lighter than any other forging, shedding the unsprung weight has a big advantage with any vehicle application, especially the larger vehicles, we can see this design adorning a lot of vehicles and looking right at home.

As with all AG Wheel design the AGL34 will be available in all of the usual monoblock size 19” 20” 21” 22” & 24” staggered set ups are available, with 2 piece duoblock and 3 piece configurations also being added to the line up, the 3 piece option you get the added advantage of standard or concave, with the various spec 1, spec 2 & spec 3 choices available in the concave profile, the finish choice is endless, it’s a design we are very much looking forward to seeing on a lot more vehicles in various configurations.

The Speedwell Supra, owed by our good friend Iby, it’s a showcase not just for his skill set but his company too, he puts life back into worn out alloy wheels, he is the ultimate wheel restorer, and is extremely good at what he does, just think of a colour and he can make it happen, including one off colour and bespoke finishes, and the good thing is he caters for all wheels from oem wheels to 2 and 3 piece forged splities, he can pretty much restore any wheel back to original, all wheels are dry painted and finished to perfection, so next time you need your wheels refinishing, look him up and tell him VAD sent you, we promise you will not be disappointed.

Speedwell wide body Toyota Supra

The car itself needs no introduction, that is unless you have been living under a rock with no internet or wifi connection, we have featured it a couple of times over the last few years in various disguises, it must be one of Europe’s most posted Supra's across the media networks, its lit our feeds up this years more than any other Supra around the world, but what we can say is we haven’t seen one picture of this car that does it justice, not one, in the metal this is mind blowingly good, with the kit is a complete one off, well it was... until now.

Since we can remember we have been hounding iby to reproduce the kit, as we have had so many requests, he had also been inundated with request too, so he has finally stepped out of his manic schedule and pulled the trigger, and will be available to buy over the next few months, and you can buy it right here at VAD.

The kit will feature the usual wide body aero parts, front bumper, front splitter, front wider fenders, side skirts, rear wider quarter panels, rear bumper with integrated diffuser.

With any wide body project you will need the wheels to suit, you can fit 17” 18” 19” or if you desired 20” will fit with slight mods, but 20” as long as you run 10.5” front and 13” rear with suitable width tyres, other upgrades will be required, suspension, with fitting and painting required to completed look.

If you fancy this unique wide body look for your Toyota Supra, drop us an email, or get in touch, and we will hook you up with what has to be the ultimate supra conversion on the market.

We are big BMW fans at VAD, we have owned a few, our plans for our own Z4 has also got us up close and personal, and reacquainted with the brand, so when we were approached by Christophe Luyck regarding wheels for his BMW M235i X-Drive it got our attention, but it wasn’t until we got into the wheel build that we found out this was no ordinary M235i, nope…. This was a Manhart MH2 400 wide body, and it’s a beauty.

Although we had heard of the Manhart name for tuning the BMW marquee, we had never seen the little wide body 2 series until Christophe brought it to our attention; it really does look menacing from every viewing point, it is a wide body designed to perfection, in fact it's so good you would think it came out of the Bavarian Munich factory looking like this, huge credit to the Manhart designers, they have created an absolute beauty.

When we first saw Christophe prime example, it had been wearing a set of Stance wheels, and although they looked pretty good on the car, we both knew it could be so much better, what made the job so much easier is that the wheel design was already chosen, Christophe is a man that knows exactly what he wants, and the AGL19 from AG Luxury wheel range was his wheel of choice, now it was time to spec the wheel to the body and lock down the finish of choice.

The conversion takes a pretty wide set up, 9” to 9.5" front and 10.5” rear, even an 11 at a stretch, but Christophe has his own ideas, and as he had already run with a wider and larger set up, he didn’t like the ride quality or the fact it rubbed from time to time, especially on lock, so it was time to spec the wheels exactly how he wanted them to look, after all 3 piece forged wheels are about bespoke custom applications, widths and finish, so that’s exactly what he did.

A square set up of 9.5x19 was decided on, to be wrapped in 255/30r19 front and rear, the finish was to be matte Black centres, inner barrels, with liquid bronze stepped outer rims & hardware, with the AG spec 3 concave centre profile (floating spoke) centres, hmmm, what a recipe.

With the wheel build complete and shipped off to Belgium, AG wanted the completed project photographed, and there is only one photographer that would be given the green light to bring this car to life through his silky lense skills and that’s the amazing talent of Mike Crawat Photography… enjoy.
