A couple of months back Next Level Automotive collected a Speedwells wide body aero kit of us for a Supra build they have been constructing, they have really impressed us with the time-scale of this build considering its their first one, and the quality of work really is top notch.

Within 10 days of collecting the kit, Jan had it fitted on the supra it was then left for 3 weeks, which is a good thing when you are working with fibreglass, the longer you can leave the panels before painting the better the end product will be and as you can see the finish is spectacular.

We were told the Supra would be blue and as we haven’t seen a blue Speedwells Supra we were pretty excited to see it all finish and we are just blown away with this particular shade of blue Jan decided to use on this build, and we love the bespoke one off bonnet with custom vents, which is another neat touch on this build.

We can’t wait to see the finishing touches to this build, as the suspension along with the wheels complete the look, keep your eyes peeled for the final reveal.

Carbostuff Engineering

There doesn't seem to be a month that goes by where we are not contacted by someone thats having or had issues with Dominik Bahn and his company Carbostuff Engineering.

We have moved on personally from our own loss from this company due to the fact that it was consuming far too much of our time as well as cost and we wanted to forget all about the name "Carbostuff Engineering" and re-focus our attention on our own business, working with genuine people who want to produce product and supply what has been paid for without any drama, so we are letting the local German authorities deal with the situation in hand, the more information they gather the more the worse it will be long term for himself, it will end up biting him at some point we have lots of collective information that is dating back to the end of 2014, so its all in hand.

In April 2018 Vince Muriti the owner of Perfect Auto Body based in Sydney Australia made contact us, he had ordered and paid a 75% deposit for a complete front end for his Audi R8 LMS race car from Dominik Bahn back in October 2017 and by April 2018 Dominik Bahn had stopped replying to his emails, it was his search on the Internet that he came across our blog posts regarding the past antics of Carbostuff Engineering, unfortunately our blog was not able to assist as it too little too late, as he like many others around the world have been scammed by Dominik Bahn.

Reading through the email trail it seems he still uses the same old excuses, for the lengthy delay of why the parts haven't been delivered.

We have been asked to go public with this story to show our industry around the world that Carbostuff still doing what he has always done, take money and do not supply any parts, generally deceiving people and that deception is theft.

Vince ordered and paid for parts in good faith in October 2017 yet he is still waiting on his parts 14 months later, the last email he received from Dominik Bahn was back in December 2017, unfortunately Vince joins the ever growing list of people who have lost money to this guy.

We here from various sources that he is looking at taking legal action against our blog posts, we sincerely hope its true and look forward to hearing from his legal team, there are a lot of people 3 years on with no parts and no refund, I'm sure each and everyone is more that happy to tell their story and take their own legal council.

All we can do is keep doing what we are doing and that is to report on the facts, that Dominik Bahn is still doing what he has been doing for a long time, which is to deceive people out of their cash.

We have made some changes to our Nissan GTR aero products over the last few months, with some new material and some options on some aero designs being discontinued.

Our first venture into the GTR World was back in 2012, with our GT1 styled take on Nissan's range topper for the first edition CBA styled bumper GTR, at the time of launch we produced in carbon fibre and GRP with the GRP outselling the carbon version by some margin, so we took the decision to only offer that aero kit in GRP, it an extremely cheap aero kit and really does enhance the oem lines of the GTR, whilst housing wide negative offset 20” wheels, its deceptive wide and that what we love about this particular kit, in fact unless you sit this wide body by a standard GTR it looks oem, even though is 75mm wider per corner than the Stock beauty.

VAD GTR GT1 Wide Body

2018 has seen us launch our GT3 style wide body carbon fibre aero kit which huge success, our good friend Bryce was the first to step up and build the pinnacle wide body, which is now having a bit of a colour change which will be completed this month, the Dapper Dips crew have had the car most of this year getting on to it when they have had spare time, a day here and there which suits Bryce as he has been stationed in the middle east for the last 9 months, just a pity we have to lose the lush white finish as that really did showcase the kit details, but the paintwork was terrible and something needed to be done, so Bryce wanted to start again and come back with a new look, which we are really excited to see the new look when its all finished, and for Brandon Woyshnis to once again unleash his epic photography skills.

Another positive for our aero as reported in one of our post last month, David Haagsma also hit the track with some fantastic results, a testament to how good our products are.

Since we launched the kit we have been asked about the possibilities of having the kit manufactured in GRP, something we haven’t been particularly keen on until our composite team sent us details on a brand new woven cloth based GRP material with is still manufactured with epoxy resin and either pre-preg or vacuum infused product, extremely strong, super lightweight, just like carbon fibre product but 15 to 20% cheaper, so this will be added to the list of GTR manufacturing options, which is great as we can still get to add various parts like the front splitter, rear diffuser and side skirts in carbon fibre.
