We have been pretty quiet on the Ferrari front for a while now, and we cannot believe Mikael Persbrandt build with the Lights 2 Flag crew was way back in 2015, the time has just flown by, and contray to poular belief from the shores of the USA, Mikaels FerrarI 458 was the very first ever road going GT3 on the planet.

The statement for us at the time was to showcase what we could put together, the first ever road going Ferrari 458 GT3, and we got to work with a fantastic bunch of people to create a real show stopping 458 that still graces the swedish roads 5 years on.

Although we haven’t personally been involved in any other Ferrari 458 GT3 builds we have been supplying a lot of O.E.M race parts around the world, but with this next build we will be supplying parts for is going to be something very special.

There are a couple of 458 builds stateside, our personal favourite is the Gloss Black Gen 1 build owned by Rob Panlilio of Crooks & Castles, if ever you need to look at how a road going 458 GT3 should be put together this is the one, then there is David Uy build possibly the most popular Ferrari 458 GT3 on Instagram, this example is now owned by Danny Pak, TJ Hunt is the latest to build a street going GT3 458, which he put together for SEMA 2019, what we have noticed is all these builds have used old used race parts, which seems the way to go if you’re in the USA, but we are about to change all that, by doing it as it should be done.

There is nothing wrong with used race part, but most have taken a beating, or been repaired sometimes in its life, and you get good and bad repairs and when your fitting these parts to a 200k + Ferrari we personally prefer to fit brand new carbon fibre parts, and just so happens so does our customer Manny, straight out of the box we were on the same page with this build, all parts would have to be brand spanking new from Michelotto as it was going on to a late 458 with the ultimate factory spec, so only new parts would do for this build and another stipulation was not to mix and match the parts from Gen1 to Gen 2 … every part had to be Gen 2, which we believe will be a first for a road going 458.

With the parts on order it’s now just a waiting game, as the car gets striped down ready for its new clothes, but what we can do is ogle over the latest Gen 2 race going 458 GT3.

Our Porsche 997 R13 carbon fibre aero conversion has become quite a popular build around the world and we have another being built in California but this will be no ordinary 997 GT3R R13 build, this will be another level build, and that’s down to the owner who is putting this particular 997 together, Joe Trinh.

We have been wanting to work with Joe since we connected with him a couple of years ago on Instagram which is just dedicated to his Porsche collection that he has built over the years, with every model being heavily modified, his 997 Turbo Cabriolet is a real beauty, as well as his 997 GT3 4.0 is one of our personal favourite 997 builds to date, its impeccably put together, then you have his McLaren 675LT which is just mind blowing, but none of them can compare to his amazing going 991 GT3R R16 he has put together as a pure road based car, it really is a phenomenal build, pure perfection and shows just what Joe and the team he works with are capable of, hence our excitement working with him on this 997 R13 GT3R build that he has just started.

We delivered the kit to Joe the early part of 2019, and he purchased every part we make all but the carbon doors and the carbon roof, but he was keen to purchase every other part we manufacture, with all the parts being delivered to Tony over at True Performance , which just happens to be company and a person we have been longing to work with, his work within the Porsche industry is renown, and we are very much looking forward following this amazing build as it happens, what we do know is every part that put into this 997 build is going to be the best available, the turbo and ECU set up is already mind blowing, the colour chosen is the perfect choice for this build, it will show off every R13 details that some colours hide, and the interior suggestion is a wonderful contrast.

all being well this amazing 997R will be hitting the streets of California, we will endeavor to keep you posted on developments as the build takes shape.

The Porsche 996 has always be the 911 chassis which Porsche enthusiast seemed to like or loathe, the marmite of the Porsche line up, personally we love it, we have no issues with the front headlights which is the most talked about area of the car as this is the area that people dislike, but you only have to look at cars like the DP Motorsport 996 DP5 to see what you can do to the 996 look, admittedly that look comes at a huge expense, but you can do such a lot to the 996 model and make it look stunning for a relatively small price.

Carbon Fibre Wide Body aero kit for Porsche 996 Chassis

For the standard 996 C2 or C4 narrow body we offer the slant nose, which some will love because you lose the oem front light set up, for the wider C4 or Turbo we offer our very own super GT2R Evolution wide body that give the wider Porsche cars an even more aggressive look, available in light weight carbon fibre or our all new cloth based GRP, so let’s look at the GT2R evo aero upgrade and see what you get in the conversion.

The front bumper is a wider RSR/ GT2R affair that is mated to a pair of much wider front fenders with huge extensions moulded in ready to house 10.5” to 11” wheels, you can even fit a 12” front set up if you can find the correct road tyres, but be warned this is a very aggressive set up that is really only needed for an out right track car, for road use we recommend a 10.5x18 with a 275/35R18 tyre. The side skirts connect these huge front blisters to an even larger rear quarter flare that can house wheels 14x18 wide sitting on 335/30R18 or 345/30r18 rear tyres which mate to a wider Turbo style vented rear bumper, aggressive diffuser, ducktail engine cover with a choice of rear wing assembly, it all adds up to a nice little super wide 996 aero conversion that will turn heads, even the heads that dislike the 996 in its o.e.m disguise, 19" wheels can also be used for this conversion if required.

For those that want to enhance or even lose weight from the 996, we also offer, carbon roof replacement, carbon fibre light weight doors, polycarbonate windows, front hoods, and a stunning carbon rood scoop with light weight rear window.
