The R programme for the Porsche is a pretty special race car, we have always preferred the look over the RSR look, it’s the more wider aggressive look and in 997 guise we didn't think it would get any better, that was until Porsche decided to hit us with the very latest 2019 spec R package for the 991 chassis and boy oh boy it’s pretty spectacular.

When the R was first released for the 991.1 it was nice but for us the 997 was still a better look, when the did the upgrade for the 991.2 in 2016 it really grabbed our attention, so much that we added the aero to our line-up, but we still preferred the older 991.2 R look, but with the all new release of the 2019 R package Porsche have just knocked it straight out the part … its quite phenomenal.

This R has taken on a completely different look to the older 991 generations, with a complete make over from front to rear, and we absolutely love the vents that adorn the top of the front fenders, as well as the rear quarter inlets and the rear bumper is just sublime, Porsche you have done it again and created yet another master piece.

In true wide body fashion, the conversion consists of the usual parts:

Front bumper, bumper canards, front floor with splitter, front fenders, side skirts, rear quarter panels, rear bumper, rear diffuser, rear ducktail engine cover and the optional rear wing assembly.

There are all the extra parts available like the flat bottom floor, light weight carbon cup doors, Kevlar arch liners front and rear, carbon roof, carbon front vented bonnet.

This is one 991 we cannot wait to put together, get in touch with us for details on this amazing aero conversion for your Porsche 991 chassis.

The Sleepers Speed Shop Porsche 997 GT3R Bi-Turbo

Back in 2017 we got to work with Len Higa and the Sleepers Speed Shop crew, which was extremely refreshing getting to work with one of the great Porsche tuning companies stateside, to say they build a beauty is a bit of an understatement.

We know how much time, effort and money goes into a conversion like this, because we have the European’s first road going example residing our good friends Speedwells.

Sit back with a cupa and watch the Sleepers build on the move, filmed by Fuel Tank , the car is now sporting a different set of wheels with a more aggressive offset, along with some new livery, which we look forward to seeing.

The main part of the build for the Speedwells Porsche 997R Bi-Turbo is not far of completed, just the wheels, and tyres to fit which should be over the next couple of days and it is pretty much done, as all conversions of this size it will take a little longer to get all of the little updates done like the front head lights, the grills for the front and rear bumper which all have to be patterned then laser cut, we could of gone down the motorsport grill look, but this is a road version of the R, so Iby wanted a more road look with the grill set, and doesn't want to mix race with road and we can relate to that as there are hundreds of race going 997 R’s around the world, but very few out right road cars.

We are really looking forward to the show scene for 2018, with our own BMW Z4 GT3 V8 hanging out with our good friend Iby and his Speedwells 997 GT3R, both in road going trim, this is going to be one very special year. Stay tuned for more picture updates when the wheels and tyres are fitted over the next few days, we can’t wait.
