The Nissan GTR has been a huge part of our aero line for the last few years, dating back to 2012 when we constructed what must have been one of the very first carbon fibre wide body GTR packages, fitted with 13x21 forged 3 piece VAD VF1 wheels 345/25R21 tyres, Meister coilover suspension, all finished off with 680 HP engine upgrade and titanium exhaust, we certainly arrived in style even if we do say so ourselves.

The VAD Wide Body Nissan GTR

Various builds of the VAD Wide Body GTR

As soon as that particular GTR hit the streets it sold almost straight away, in 2013 we constructed a second Carbon fibre wide body GTR, this time round we painted it purple, it was around this time we parted company with the Wellingborough body shop as that GTR again found a new owner, over the last few years we have honed the parts and grew the carbon range whilst adding a new wide body aero pack in the form of our favourite GT3 style, the style that dates back to the 2013 / 2014, with the functional and aggressive vents that adorn most of the panels fitted to the GTR, this for us is the ultimate GTR and we have most parts available in carbon fibre as well as woven roving with is a cloth based fibre glass, which is a super light and super strong material that is a cheaper option than the carbon fibre material that the kit is available in.

As well as the main aero panels, we also have a few race options that we have listed as extras, with all of the race parts they are only available in carbon fibre.

Replace carbon fibre roof, front bumper canards, Vented GT3 style bonnet, light weight GT3 Style boot lid with rear wing assembly, supports, wing & end plates, light weight carbon doors with quick release hinges.

To ass to our GTR line up we have a range of super lightweight magnesium wheels in 18” 19” & 20” sizes in 1, 2 & 3 piece with a super hybrid carbon fibre barrelled, magnesium centre 2-piece wheel.

Inconel exhaust and special coilover suspension from the JRZ stable ..2020 may be the time we build another road going GTR, this one will be big and better than our previous builds … it’s time for the Ichiban GT3 VAD GTR

A selection of our road and race carbon fibre parts for the Nissan GTR, we are currently working on MY17 to MY20 Carbon Fibre parts for 2020 so get in touch for furthe rdetails of our ever expanding range for Nissans finest.

With APAC taking delivery of our GTR aero kit, they have wasted zero time in getting the OEM GTR parts stripped, and the car ready for surgery, we are amazed at the pace this conversion is moving at, especially as Derrick has gone about the conversion in exactly the same way we have done all of our GTR builds, by removal of the OEM rear quarter panel and bonding on the new girth in its place, Derrick already has the rear quarters cut and the new wider panel boned in place, along with the front fenders and bumper all fitted up, we have been pleasantly surprised this week with the activity on this build.

APAC (Auto Performance Aesthetics Centre) VAD GT1 Wide body under construction

One of the many great things about working with Derrick and his team at APAC, is the fact they are a very high quality custom body shop that have already built some pretty epic GTR's, so they are already sitting on various GTR stock, but there are not many companies around the globe sitting on a custom set of 3 piece forged 13x20 wheels with radical negative offsets, but they have a set of RSV-RS1 3 piece forged ready to to be fitted to this conversion, that for us speaks volumes about how this company operate, we can see this is going to be one very special relationship, wait till you see the finish Derrick has planned, a special GTR needs a special colour, and that is exactly what this GTR is going to get... stay tuned peeps.

Its been a while since we have had any news on this amazing looking GTR, but looking at the latest set of pictures, its been worth the wait. The owner Ben of BPA Body shop has been extremely busy, so his personal pride and joy unfortunately had to take a back seat, something we can relate to with our own build, when you are a small business you have to prioritise, and your own personal get put together as and when.

We have been waiting so long for someone to build a white GTR with our wide body and Ben didn't disappoint, its breath taking finish is a credit to his craft, its impeccable, and he has a great eye for attention to detail, with the Nismo 2015 red pinstripe being added to the bottom half of the kit, along with a carbon bonnet with exposed carbon vents, the black roof and black diffuser, splitter and side skirts, he really did hit the sweet spot on the overall look of the car, some people don’t seem to like the black stripe in between the rear lights, but we do, its different and its nice to see someone thinking outside of the usual GTR box.

The engine is heavily modified, albeit we have no idea what changes have been made, all we know is its had certain tuned modifications, so it should be plenty quick enough for most peoples speed needs.

Its all be finished off with some gloss black VAD CR EVO in 12x21 front and 13x21 rear, wrapped in 355/25R21 Pirelli Rubber.

We said when this car was started to be constructed that it was going to turn out pretty special, and it really hasn't disappointed, it’s a credit to Ben and his team, and were extremly please there is yet another VAD wide body GTR on UK roads.
